Epic Robotics

Beginning in the 2020–2021 school year, Epic will now host a robotics club! We have partnered with FIRST LEGO League in order to make this opportunity available. The following information is directly from administration:

The purpose of this club is to offer students an opportunity to have fun and engage in very basic computer programming and problem solving activities that will encourage creativity and initiative through robotics in the STEM field.

During club meetings, the students will learn how to use the components of their kits to build robots and how to program them. After they have mastered basic programming abilities, club meetings will involve the students in programming their robots to accomplish tasks and solve challenges using problem solving and logical thinking skills. Students will be working in pairs or small teams and will have opportunities to participate in expos and competitions throughout the school year.

There are three levels of robotics teams. Below are links that will take you to a YouTube video that explains what each level does and can help shape your expectations.

Epic is not ready to accept student sign-ups at the moment, but more information should be coming soon! Keep an eye on your email and on this page for more updates!
