Spring Testing

Since the No Child Left Behind Act became a thing in 2001, students have been required to take a test to show that they have mastered all concepts that belong to their grade level before they can enter the next grade. The point is to help teachers align their curricula and ensure that each student receives the instruction and help that he or she needs.

Oklahoma students are required to pass the tests administered by the Oklahoma School Testing Program (OSTP) near the end of the Spring semester. This is to assess students’ understanding by measuring their knowledge against the Oklahoma Academic Standards.
